It’s always an honor to photograph senior portraits for multiple siblings in a family. Maddie’s big sister had a gorgeous sunset for her session a couple of years ago, so I was happy that Mother Nature really pulled out the stops for Maddie too. It started out overcast but warm, followed with a little drizzle, and then finished up with the most beautiful golden sunbeam peeking out from the clouds.

This was another session where we would have rescheduled due to rain, but decided to go ahead anyway to get some pictures in time for Christmas. We ended up with a torrential downpour, but luckily we were at CJ’s family farm and the buildings and equipment provided excellent places to shoot. We rescheduled the second part of the session, and this time we were treated to a gorgeous winter day at the river. CJ’s red shirt was perfect.
