It was lovely to see the G family again. They get cuter every year, but still as full of fun and cuddly-sweet as ever. Here they are from two years ago - they’re growing up fast!

So many blog posts to catch up on! I think I’ll just start here and work backwards. It was lovely to see this beautiful family again. At their session this time last year, little A was just learning how to walk – now he is two, and look at him go! Unfortunately his little world was turned a bit upside down by Daylight Savings Time – mine too, I have to say – but mom and dad were full of fun as always and coaxed lots of giggles out of the little guy.
This October Thistledown Photography will participate with photographers around the country in a very special family portrait promotion. Throughout the month we will celebrate Family Portrait Month, a wonderful opportunity for you update your family portrait or portraits of your children, and help to support Operation Smile. Each year this organization of more than 6,000 volunteer doctors, nurses, dentists, and specialized health care professionals performs free reconstructive surgeries for children suffering with cleft lips, cleft palates and other facial deformities. More than 100,000 children are born with a facial deformity each year in Operation Smile’s twenty six partner countries. It costs just $240 to pay for surgery for one child. Our Sweet Smile Holiday Mini Sessions this year will be $124 for the Print package (of which $24 will be donated to Operation Smile) and $248 for the Digital package (of which $48 will be donated to Operation Smile). We will also have some little gift items and add-ons available, all priced at $24. For the math challenged among us, this means that just ten of the little $24 donation blocks that I have built into the Holiday Minis will change a child’s life.
